Pembangunan PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2 akan menambah kapasitas panas bumi di Area Lumut Balai sebesar 55 MW, sehingga total panas bumi di wilayah tersebut menjadi 110 MW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Direktur Utama PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati mengapresiasi <em>milestone<\/em> penting Pertamina Geothermal Energy ini yang secara nyata terus mendorong pemanfaatan energi baru terbarukan di Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMelalui <em>groundbreaking<\/em> Lumut Balai Unit 2 ini, Pertamina Geothermal Energy telah membuktikan keseriusannya dalam pengembangan potensi panas bumi di Indonesia. Kami optimistis kedepannya Pertamina Geothermal Energy mampu mendorong tumbuhnya ekosistem hijau secara global maupun di Indonesia,\u201d jelas Nicke melalui siaran pers, dikutip Rabu (20\/12\/2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pada kesempatan yang sama, Direktur Utama Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk, Julfi Hadi mengatakan, proyek Lumut Balai Unit 2 juga merupakan bentuk langkah konkrit Perseroan untuk menjadi 1 GW company. Proyek ini termasuk dalam Proyek Strategis Nasional berdasarkan Perpres No.3 Tahun 2016 dan Permen ESDM No. 40 Tahun 2014.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Julfi menjelaskan bahwa dengan dilakukannya <em>groundbreaking<\/em> maka Pertamina Geothermal Energy akan mengakselerasi pembangunan PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2 ke tahap selanjutnya,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSetelah <em>groundbreaking<\/em> kami akan akselerasi ke tahap <em>desain engineering<\/em>, pengeboran pondasi Fluid Collection and Reinjection System (FCRS) serta persiapan jalur transmisi,\u201d ungkap Julfi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Julfi juga menyampaikan bahwa proyek ini ditargetkan untuk beroperasi pada akhir tahun 2024. PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2 memiliki potensi pengurangan emisi hingga 581.784 tCO2eq\/tahun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIni menjadi langkah Perseroan dalam mendukung pemerintah mencapai target bauran energi nasional sebesar 23% pada 2025 serta <em>net zero emission<\/em> 2060,\u201c jelas Julfi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dalam kesempatan ini, Julfi menjelaskan proyek Lumut Balai Unit 2 ini dikelola melalui kolaborasi antara Indonesia dengan negara-negara Indo-Pasifik, yaitu Jepang dan Tiongkok.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPertamina Geothermal Energy bekerja sama dengan tiga perusahaan dari Jepang, China, dan Indonesia, yaitu Mitsubishi Corporation, SEPCO III Electric Power Construction Co, Ltd. (SEPCO III), dan PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. untuk mengembangkan proyek Lumut Balai Unit 2,\u201d tutur Julfi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sedangkan dari sisi pendanaan, proyek ini telah mendapatkan stimulus dari Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) sebesar US$155 juta.<br>Selain Lumut Balai Unit 2, Pertamina Geothermal Energy juga tengah mengembangkan proyek panas bumi lainnya guna mencapai visi untuk menjadi 1 GW company dalam dua tahun mendatang.
