Rencana aktivasi bandara ini berpotensi menambah persaingan antarmoda transportasi di kawasan Bandung Raya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manager Corporate Communications KCIC Emir Monti mengatakan, daya tarik Whoosh tidak hanya terletak pada kecepatan perjalanan, tetapi juga pengalaman unik yang ditawarkan kepada penumpang, termasuk wisatawan mancanegara yang datang ke Indonesia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTetap diminati karena biasanya orang ke sini ke Indonesia bukan hanya sekadar mengejar cepat, tapi juga ingin coba apa itu Whoosh,\u201d kata Emir di Padalarang, Bandung Barat, Selasa (2\/6\/2026). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Menurutnya status Whoosh sebagai kereta cepat pertama di Asia Tenggara menjadi nilai tambah tersendiri yang membuat layanan tersebut tidak sekadar berfungsi sebagai moda transportasi, tetapi juga menjadi salah satu daya tarik wisata. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KCIC menilai faktor tersebut akan menjaga minat masyarakat terhadap Whoosh meskipun nantinya Bandara Husein kembali beroperasi penuh dan menawarkan alternatif perjalanan ke Bandung. \u201cKami melihat keunggulan di Whoosh itu sendiri, di mana menjadi salah satu magnet destinasi orang untuk datang ke Indonesia untuk dicoba,\u201d ujar Emir. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Optimisme tersebut juga didukung oleh tingginya jumlah penumpang selama periode libur panjang Hari Raya Iduladha dan Hari Lahir Pancasila. KCIC mencatat lonjakan pengguna Whoosh pada rute Jakarta\u2013Bandung dan sebaliknya sepanjang masa liburan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selama periode 27 Mei hingga 1 Juni 2026, arus wisatawan yang berlibur ke Bandung Raya mulai kembali ke daerah asalnya, terutama Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Pada puncak arus balik, jumlah penumpang Whoosh menuju Jakarta diperkirakan mencapai lebih dari 22.000 orang dalam satu hari. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emir menjelaskan, tingginya angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Whoosh masih menjadi pilihan utama masyarakat untuk mobilitas antarkota, baik bagi wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara. Secara keseluruhan, selama enam hari periode libur panjang, penjualan tiket Whoosh mencapai sekitar 115.000 hingga 120.000 tiket dan masih berpotensi bertambah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Menurut KCIC, capaian tersebut menjadi indikator bahwa minat masyarakat terhadap layanan kereta cepat tetap tinggi di tengah banyaknya pilihan transportasi yang tersedia.
